Fruitflies: The Must Have For Slings

Last week I went to feed the babies (for those of you that don't know I call my slings babies, then I have littles, middles and bigs. Anything under i7, i7-pentultimate (sub-adult), Adult respectively), when I realized my fly cultures had crashed. In a panic I sent my husband to the stores to try to find enough to get us through until I could get some in. They came in yesterday and today I seeded more cultures. I kept one container of flies to feed with until my cultures... bloom?, explode?, pop? This will be my second time doing this. I'm not sure why the cultures crashed or what really happened but I now have 10 melanogaster cultures and 2 Hydei currently brewing. This is on the list of things I swore I wouldn't do. But here we are.

I'm also trying peanut beetle larvae which the older babies love. These are so easy to take care of. If anyone is interested in how to do this please let me know, as I am learning still too I will do my best to answer any questions
